About Hardie McLaren
Hardie McLaren is our Principal Engineer at Equinox Automation, bringing 20 years of experience spanning concept engineering, operational facility engineering, major project delivery, and onsite commissioning and maintenance.
Hardie specialises in fire and gas mapping, functional safety, instrumentation and control, and safety systems for major hazard facilities.
As a certified Functional Safety Engineer, he delivers risk-based solutions with principal accountability, informed by extensive experience within oil & gas operators and an understanding of how high-hazard operational facilities perform in practice.
Hardie helps clients improve safety and achieve practical compliance through collaborative value engineering. This approach is embedded in Equinox’s values, ensuring all projects are delivered with the same philosophy.
